Imagine the Essential 3A - but without the Acrylic platter!

The brand new Essential 3 is basically an Essential 3A (Acrylic) without the acrylic platter. This means that the Essential 3 doesn't look quite as good or sound quite as good as the Essential 3A, but it does cost £40 pounds less, as a result.

The best way of understanding the Essential 3 is to view it as an improved version of the award winning Essential 2. The Essential 3 looks better than the outgoing Essential 2, thanks to its new high gloss finish (three colours available - Black, White or Red) which really is stunning. The Essential 3 also comes fitted with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge with elliptical stylus, compared to the lower grade OM5 the Essential 2 came with.
